The biggest political problem for Zelenskyy is public anger about corruption reaching into the heart of his administration and all his Kvartal 95 TV buddies.

You haven't said anything new here. The Russians having got themselves into an almighty mess know that the answer to extricating themselves from their own mess is withdrawal from Ukraine. This would lead to some form of peace but they won't do this while the empty words, handwringing and absent reactions to russian provocations from western leaders unhelpfully serve russian narratives and interests. The unpleasant truth everyone must face is that, as history has shown, the only language russian evil understands and will understand is force.

History shows that that’s the only language that most understand.

The ISW has noted that many pro-war war-veterans are likely to be "elected" for Putin's party in the autumn "elections" in Russia, which will smooth the likely mobilisation afterwards. The Russian public look like they will continue to accept the mass-slaughter of their own children on Putin's altar... what a soulless society they are.

If folk don’t wanna get slaughtered then don’t volunteer?

Ukraine had no choice but to defend. Putin has no choice but continue. It’s going to get much worse before the end.
